On March 14, Dos Equis will invite drinkers to “Keep It Interesante” with a new campaign that celebrates storytelling. But what you may not know is that the campaign took more than 50 years to make.
That’s right, the campaign started production in the late ’60s and continued for the subsequent five decades. The marketing team dedicated their lives to the shoot for 50 years and 18,000 uninterrupted days.
Senior Brand Director Quinn Kilbury was quoted as saying, “When beer drinkers are out at night, we want to encourage them to tell a better version of the truth to keep their stories interesante. And nothing’s more interesante than shooting an ad for five decades straight. We think the ad will really appeal to people who love ads that take five decades to shoot.”
Look for the five-decades-long ad when it hits screens later this week. We think you’ll agree that by shooting its ad for five decades straight, Dos Equis has definitely kept things interesante.
